What a typical weekday morning looks like in our house. It's a slow transition to waking up!

River is SIX

River is SIX! He is a Kindergartener who adores his teacher and learning new things. His favorite subjects in school are science, where he has been learning about nature, and technology, where he has been learning to type using the home-row keys! His favorite food is pizza from Nick’s Pizza down the street, which is where he chose to eat his birthday dinner. He still plays with legos and enjoys drawing, but has added video games to his list of favorite after-school activities. He also likes to design his own experiments, like seeing how long it will take a piece of cardboard to start to break down in water. And of course, he enjoys playing made-up games with Eleanor and Jack, as well as spending time with his grandparents. River is patient with his siblings, which is good, because Jack takes his things often. He is the most compassionate, empathetic person in our household. He notices others’ emotions, and is always ready with a hug and kiss if someone is upset. He can read easy words and books like “Go Dog Go” by himself. He is a total Daddy’s boy, but is always quick to tell me he loves us both. We are so proud of and love our six year old BIG boy so much!!
