Eleanor’s 4th Birthday!
Eleanor is four. She is fearless, kind, and independent. She loves to sing and dance. She loves to be with her brothers. She loves to wear dresses and fix her hair. She has endless energy and is a natural when it comes to athletics. She loves sweets. Her favorite books are Llama Llama and Madeline. Her favorite movies are Frozen and Annie. I asked her what her favorite thing to eat is, and she said, “meat.” I asked what her favorite thing to do is, and she said, “go on hikes in the woods.” Two of her goals are to learn to swim and to stop sucking her thumb.
River made a “song” using Garage Band. Then he asked for my phone, went into my and Bud’s bedroom, and shut the door. This was the result.

River: “You should put that in the newspaper! ‘Sister gets mad at brother for using tiny amount of the couch.’”
River, coming over to me as I am cleaning up yard waste in the front yard: “Jack is in the backyard with no one watching him!” Translation: Stop slacking on your job, Mom, and watch Jack!
4th of July-
Mattapoisett road race in a heat wave!
Bud: The problem is you’re not eating your ice cream fast enough.
River: The problem is the river of chocolate running down my hand!
