A plant stand I remember from when I was young, on which Memere hung the ornament River and Eleanor made for them.
This staircase may look like any other tenement stairwell in Fall River, but seeing it fills me with feelings of warmth and memories of being with my own Great Memere, who I called "Memere Simonin," who cared for me every day before I was school age.

Snow Party
January 20
River and Eleanor were very excited for our first snow of the season. However, when the snow finally arrived, all three kiddos were sick (again!) So, we did the second best thing- we threw a SNOW PARTY, complete with snow men, snow flakes, a snowball fight, and hot cocoa. It may not have been quite the same as the real thing (but it was certainly warmer!)
Squid and Aunt Marca Hat! January 18
Today, River asked if he could make a squid to “send to a museum.” So we did.
Eleanor put on this winter hat and said, “I’m Aunt Marca!”

We enjoyed Nana and Pop Pop’s birthday gift of babysitting by going for lunch and grocery shopping together!
Nana and Pop Pop watched the kids while Bud and I went out for lunch and went grocery shopping together as a birthday gift, 1/25
Nana and Pop Pop hung out and chatted after the kids went to bed. I always miss our hang outs and long, uninterrupted talks, so this was really special, 1/25.
Memere and Pepere came for a visit, too, and brought crafts for the kids and other yummy treats, 1/26.
